a little Christmas Cheer ...

I was having a case of the bah humbugs this year. I wanted to decorate for the holidays, but everything I own is in storage.

When we lived in our condo downtown, we did real Christmas trees. I loved how it made our condo smell, and it wasn't too hard to remember to water it. I didn't love cleaning it up for the next six months, but it was better than having to store an artificial tree. It worked.

This year, I wasn't up for a real Christmas tree. For starters, all of my ornaments are in boxes. And, secondly we aren't even going to be here for Christmas.

I thought about buying an artificial tree, but decided I'd rather make that purchase once we're in our new house.

Thank goodness my Mom had a solution. She came up for a couple of days, and we made about 20 of these stars for her bunko group and others ...

While she was here, we threw this ornament garland together. I loved how it turned out. I threw some lights on it at the last minute, and next year I'll take the time to hide the cord a little better.

The shatterproof ornaments are from Sam's Club, and I love the colors.

We had lots of extra paper from the stars, so I used my circle punches and made a quick paper garland. So easy, yet it filled our temporary home with a little Christmas cheer ...

My mom brought this up to me too. It was a free download. She had it printed at Costco. We grabbed a frame at Ikea, and voila!
