Balance Bikes

We have yet to purchase one of these, but it sounds like they're the only way to go.
Does anyone own one?

    We got Nathan a Strider Bike for his bday last week and he is rocking on it. They say you can start kids out on them as early as like 18 months. Once they are confidently walking. We'll get Jeff one for Christmas (he'll be 19 months).
